Due to expanding student numbers our three schools are seeking to appoint outstanding professionals with excellent teaching skills, to work as a class teacher for pupils aged 4-19 years, who have a range of special educational needs.  This opportunity offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to join our inspiring and highly skilled school teams at Piper Hill School, Pioneer House High School and the Grange School within Propere Learning Trust.


Role Purpose

We are looking for outstanding classroom practitioners who have the ability to share their practice, work with a positive and optimistic outlook and drive forward improvements.  Collaboration is a strength of the special schools within the trust and we wish to add to our team professionals who will work well with school leaders, teachers and teaching assistants to develop the highest standard of pedagogy within the classroom.

  • Have a great deal of enthusiasm and can motivate and inspire all pupils to learn and can show their impact from their current post on their pupil learning
  • Have the capacity to have a significant impact on selected curriculum areas
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have an interest in teaching a range of subjects as the timetable requires
  • Be able to contribute fully to the life of the school

Piper Hill High School is an Outstanding school that is ambitious for every one of our learners within the school community. We are a larger than average size special school that caters for students aged 11 – 19 with significant learning difficulties. Our primary aim is to engage pupils in learning through outstanding teaching. Pioneer House High School

Pioneer House High School is an Outstanding school with a unique focus in preparing pupils from aged 11-19yrs to become independent and productive young adults. Pupils have the capacity to become independent travellers during their time at Pioneer House and will have the potential to progress on to supported or independent employment/internships/apprenticeships or college.


Grange Special School:

Grange school is a good school rapidly improving for pupils aged 4 - 19 years who have autism and complex learning difficulties. Grange school is a rapidly improving school which benefits from a purpose built building with excellent facilities and a committed staff team.  As the students move through the Key Stages we place a focus on developing independence and life skills through simulated and real life experiences.


Prospere Learning Trust was formed in September 2017 through the merger of two multi academy trusts. We currently employ over 500 staff and are passionate about securing the best possible education for our young people, and believe that our staff play a vital role in achieving our vision.  Prospere Learning Trust currently comprises of 6 schools, including 3 mainstream schools and 3 special needs schools.  We are a growing Trust, currently working in the South Manchester area but with further schools anticipated across Greater Manchester.
